Welcome to the Allerton Villages Website, covering Chapel Allerton, Stone Allerton and Ashton: here you will find information about our community.

This website is intended to be a resource for residents and visitors and anyone else who has an interest in the Allertons.

GREEN Box (Weekly Collection):

paper, junk mail, yellow pages, directories, glass bottles and jars, aluminium foil, clothes(bagged), Shoes(paired) and car batteries.

1 BLACK Box (Weekly Collection):

plastic bottles marked 1 or 2 (no tops), food and drink cans, cardboard (flattened) Other plastic containers marked 5 or 6 can be recycled at the plastic bank in Winscombe.

1 BROWN Kitchen Caddy:

food waste (raw and cooked food) incl. meat and fish.

1 BROWN Bin (Weekly Collection) with built in lock:

for outside storage and collection of food waste.

Consider home composting of non-meat and fish waste if you have the space (Somerset Waste Partnership are offering composting bins for £14.50 220 litre and £17.50 330 litre.)

1 GREY Wheeled Bin (Fortnightly Collection)

for non-recyclables (remember minimise this, as it goes to landfill)

Additionally:

GREEN Wheeled Bins (or sacks) are available at a charge, for garden waste, on a subscribe to, chargeable collection.

ONLY contents of boxes and bins bearing the Somerset Waste Partnership Logo will be collected. Other waste including drinks cartons, can still be taken to the Highbridge or Cheddar recycling centres and other banks.
